CamelBak Presents: 36 Hours in San Francisco

I directed and produced this video for CamelBak’s 2023 Adventure Travel Pack. This video is part of a Mini-Series titled, “CamelBak Presents”, which uses a “People First, Product Second” approach to storytelling, to authentically capture use cases for products and share brand values with CamelBak’s audience.

I chose to feature Rob Schanz, an adventure photographer, as he embodies the target customer for the product. San Francisco felt like the perfect place to shoot this, as it stays true to CamelBak’s Norcal Roots, and is a place where city meets the trail. This pack was designed to support you through both urban and outdoor settings.

CamelBak Presents: A Chef's Journey

I directed and produced this piece, which accompanied the launch of CamelBak’s two new ChillBak Coolers, and tells the incredible story of backcountry chef, Brian Lee of Los Angeles. Brian’s story focuses on the importance of seasonal eating and locally sourcing ingredients, from both a sustainability and flavor standpoint. The messages portrayed in this video communicate our brand values to the viewer, and inspire audiences of the adventures they could have with the ChillBak Cooler family.

CamelBak Presents: Perspective with Nicole McLaughlin

I directed and produced this piece around CamelBak ambassador and viral upcycling designer, Nicole McLaughlin to message a project collaboration done with Nicole in honor of Earth Month. In this video, Nicole takes the viewer through her upcycling process and shares conceptual designs created from CamelBak Product- breathing new life into excess materials and unusable samples.

CamelBak Presents: Belonging

To help round out CamelBak’s Spring 2023 Run campaign, I Produced and Directed a mini feature film around Rebecca Murillo, an Ultra Trail Runner based in Oakland, California. In this brand piece, Rebecca is shown running in our new Zephyr Pro vest. This video was the second episode of our “CamelBak Presents” series, where we showcase real people and their stories. Key themes of Rebecca’s story include her efforts to create safe spaces on the trail for people of all backgrounds, her journey as a runner and overcoming physical and mental barriers as an ultra runner, and the satisfaction that’s felt when she finds her flow.

CamelBak Presents: Southbound

For this project, I hand-picked a crew to travel down to Baja California Sur, Mexico to direct a short film centered around CamelBak’s 2023 Baja-inspired Horizon Drinkware color extension, which was inspired by Baja California. The story is told through lens of an Adventure Photographer, Christian Ramirez, for an action-packed video about his assignment to capture campaign photography for the new product in the locations from which the colors were directly inspired.
